A Galician restaurant in Sarria with history

Since we opened our doors in 1999, Restaurante Santiago has been more than a place to eat: we have shared moments, stories and long lunches with locals, pilgrims and visitors who have made this Galician restaurant in Sarria their favourite stop on the Camino.

Over more than 25 years we have watched families grow, friends reunite, milestones celebrated and Camino stages recovered from. People come here to eat well, yes — but also to talk, to unwind, to keep coming back.

Because more than a restaurant, we are a meeting point that feels like home.

Our history in a nutshell

We started as a family restaurant, with a homemade kitchen built around timeless flavours: octopus a feira, raxo with potatoes, juicy omelette, Galician broth and homemade desserts. And that has not changed. Over the years, many pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago have discovered in our dining room a place to stop and recharge their batteries, but our pillars remain the same: tradition, warmth and quality

Our pillars since 1999

Four reasons why we are still your table of choice

Local product

We work with fresh and local ingredients. We are committed to the quality and flavour of our produce.

Homemade cooking

Traditional recipes, made with care and just like at home. The authentic flavour is in the details.

A personal touch

Here we know you, we listen to you and we take care of you. Because eating well also means feeling at ease.

Living tradition

More than 25 years cooking for our people. We remain faithful to what made us start.

A place for neighbors, friends and pilgrims

Our location on the Camino de Santiago, right beside the river Sarria,
brings visitors from all over the world. But those who come once…
often come back. This is where stories, languages, paths and customs
cross. And all of that fits around a table.
