Sharing a table with Sarria

Since we opened our doors in 1999, at Cafetería Restaurante Santiago we have not only served meals: we have shared moments, stories and many after-dinner conversations.

We are in the heart of Sarria, right next to the Paseo del Malecón, a place where the daily life of the town and the passage of pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago converge.

During these more than 25 years we have seen families grow, friends meet again, events are held and stages are rested. Here you come to eat well, yes, but also to chat, to disconnect, to come back again and again. Because more than a restaurant, we are a meeting point with a taste of home.

Our history in a nutshell

We started as a family restaurant, with a home cooking that bet on the flavors of always: the octopus á feira, the raxo with potatoes, the juicy omelette, the Galician broth, the homemade desserts. And that has not changed. Over the years, many pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago have discovered in our dining room a place to stop and recharge their batteries, but our pillars remain the same: tradition, proximity and quality.

Four reasons why we are still your table of choice

Local product

We work with fresh and local ingredients. We are committed to the quality and flavor of our products.

Home cooking

Traditional recipes, made with care and just like at home. The authentic flavor is in the details.

Close treatment

Here we know you, we listen to you and we take care of you. Because eating well also means feeling at ease.

Living tradition

More than 25 years cooking for our people. We remain faithful to what made us start.

A place for neighbors, friends and pilgrims

Our location on the Camino de Santiago, right in front of the Sarria River, makes us visited by people from all over the world. But those who come once… often come back.
Here stories, languages, paths and customs meet. And all that fits on a table.
